Curos is a small app that helps you learn one tiny thing at a time. We think the best privacy policy is a short list of things we actually do — and a long list of things we don't. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the control you have over it. If anything here is unclear, email us at hello@curos.app.

The short version

• We collect your email address so you can sign in, and the topics and stories that make up your feed.
• We use that information only to run the app for you — nothing else.
• We don't sell your data, we don't use it to train AI models, and we don't show ads.
• You can delete your account, and everything tied to it, from inside the app at any time.

Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address. We use it to send you a one-time sign-in code and to identify your account. There is no password — we never ask for one, so we never store one.

Content you create. The topics you type and the questions you explore, along with the cards and articles Curos generates in response, so we can build and continue your feed. If you report a piece of content, we receive the report so we can review it.

Learning history. The record of what you've read and what you seem to enjoy, which lets Curos surface more of what interests you. This is kept on your device and used to personalise your feed; it is not a profile we build about you on our servers.

Technical information. Basic, security-oriented logs such as request times, error details, and rate-limit counters. These help us keep the service running, diagnose problems, and prevent abuse. We do not use analytics or advertising trackers, and Curos contains no third-party tracking SDKs.

How we use your information

• To create your account and sign you in.
• To generate your feed and the deeper articles you open, and to keep them relevant and reasonably current.
• To keep Curos secure, reliable, and free from abuse.
• To respond to your support requests and content reports.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

How your content is processed

To turn a topic into a story, Curos processes the text you enter through automated systems that generate the explanation and the deeper read. This processing happens only to produce your feed. Your content is not used to train any AI model, and it is not repurposed for anything beyond serving you.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate Curos — for example, to send your sign-in code, generate your feed, and host the service. They act on our instructions, may only process your data to provide those services to us, and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We share the minimum necessary and nothing more.

Data retention

We keep your account information and content for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, the data associated with it is removed. Security and error logs are kept only for a short period and then discarded. Your on-device learning history lives on your device and is cleared when you delete the app or your account.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access to it is restricted, and requests to our service are authenticated and rate-limited. No system is perfectly secure, but we design Curos to hold as little as possible so there is less to protect in the first place.

Your rights and choices

You can, at any time:

• Delete your account — from the app: profile (top-right) → account → delete account. This removes your account and the data tied to it.
• Access or correct your information — email us and we'll help.
• Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to a copy of your data or to object to certain processing. Email us and we'll honour applicable requests.

Children

Curos is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

International users

Curos is operated from and processed on infrastructure that may be located in countries other than yours. Wherever your data is processed, this policy applies.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, do our best to let you know in the app.
